BY GOD it goes without saying swami satyananda was an instrument in the divine hands of GOD to bring yoga from mere principle into practice in a more congenial way that right from childhood upto old-age each and everyman may have an easy access. Thanks for eternity to swami Niranjananand and swami satsangi for carrying on the work left in the same way as paramahamsa G had been going on.WE are much thankful to you both and we are safe in all respects in your lap.

I do nadi shodans quite regularly but I do not use a metronome all the time. I think the counting is to high if you have a change in rhythm. It is really a slow process to increase the numbers once you have passed the beginners stage. I have tried with a mala and counting on the fingers but I have gone back to just ordinary counting in my head.

I read about David Blaine and his brutal training to achieve the 02 breath hold record, he had for some time.

I stick with a more soft path and I have been stuck for roughly a month on the same numbers.

all the best and thanks for your reply !

I've used a metronome for my nadi shodan practice for 2 years, and i can't imagine doing it without it now. - my sense of rythm simply changes to much depending on where i am in the breath (inhalation, retention etc.)...but i really dislike being dependant on something external for my practice and I'm looking for another method of counting (mantra og technique with the hands). Is it something you have encountered in your yoga journey?

Good blog!
